With the release of Edge of Fate, Bungie has released another Comp weapon, this time, a Stasis Hand Cannon named Solemn Remembrance, a nod to one of the most famous Comp weapons, Not Forgotten.

How good is Solemn Remembrance
Solemn Remembrance is bang average in PvE. Being a 140 RPM Hand Cannon means it’s not exactly top of the line, but not the worst either. The perk combo of Headstone and Firefly is pretty interesting, and of course, Rimestealer is there too, but it isn’t enough to carry it too far compared to some of the competition.
In PvP, Solemn Remembrance follows in the footsteps of Luna’s Howl and Not Forgotte,n being a 140 RPM Hand Cannon with a Precision Frame. This gives it a bit of a leg up compared to Adaptive Hand Cannons, but the rather low aim assist stat compared to the competition knocks it down a peg or two. Solemn Remembrance does come with some strong perks, though. Lone Wolf is consistently a strong option, and helps offset some of the aim assist issues, and Precision Instrument is always a good pick in PvP to artificially boost range. Solemn Remembrance is B-Tier for PvE and C-Tier for PvP.

Solemn Remembrance PvE god rolls
| PvE Roll: All-Around | |
|---|---|
| Barrel | Fluted Barrel |
| Magazine | Tactical Mag |
| Perk 1 | Headstone (also good: Impromptu Ammunition) |
| Perk 2 | Firefly or Rimestealer |
| Masterwork | Handling |
| Grip | Textured Grip |
For PvE, ease of use is generally preferred, so Fluted Barrel and Textured Grip to boost our Handling is great. On top of this, Tactical Mag is also a solid option as it increases our magazine by a couple of shots, and helps the Reload Speed a little if you go for Rimestealer over Firefly.
For perk 1, Headstone is the clear winner as it synergises well with our perk 2 picks, but Impromptu Ammunition could be decent too. For perk slot 2, we suggest either Firefly or Rimestealer. Both serve different purposes, with Firefly improving the AoE of the weapon and Rimestealer granting you some Frost Armour for survivability.
Solemn Remembrance PvP god rolls
| PvP Roll: All-Around | |
|---|---|
| Barrel | Smallbore |
| Magazine | Accurised Rounds |
| Perk 1 | Lone Wolf or Slideshot (also good: Zen Moment) |
| Perk 2 | Opening Shot or Precision Instrument |
| Masterwork | Range |
| Grip | Smooth Grip |
Range is the name of the game on Hand Cannons, so Smallbore, Accurised Rounds, and a Range masterwork are our suggestions. Smooth Grip is the best pick here, as it provides a slight boost to Handling and Stability, both of which are desirable in PvP.
