Destiny 2 Praxic Blade: Cores, Colors, Focuses & more

by | Dec 5, 2025

The new Exotic Praxic Blade is the most customizable weapon we have ever seen in Destiny 2. You can change the blade’s colour; there are different cores that you can obtain, as well as Focuses and Forms that you can obtain by upgrading the vendor reputation around the Lawless Frontier. We cover the most sought-after Praxic Blade God Rolls here.

How to get the Praxic Blade

You can acquire the Praxis Blade Exotic lightsaber by completing the Fire & Ice Exotic Mission.

Power Cores

There are three power cores that you can unlock, each of which lets you apply debuffs under a certain condition being met (Melee Damage, Reflection Damage, and Throw Damage). These all apply:

  • Arc: Bolt Charge
  • Solar: Scorch
  • Void: Weaken
  • Stasis: Slow
  • Strand: Sever

How to get the Refraction Core?

Refraction Power Core provides a debuff for Reflection Damage, and can be found by gambling with the Eliksni junk vendor in the Tharsis Outpost. As of right now, this costs 777,777 Credits due to an issue, but normally it’d cost 100 credits per roll, and is a random drop.

Gyro Power Core

The Gyro Power Core is within the Equilibrium Dungeon, which releases on 13th December 2025. More information will be available as we play the dungeon for the first time.

How to get the Impact Core?

The Impact Power Core is available to purchase upstairs in the Cantina. As it was missing at the start of the week, the current theory is that you can only obtain this core during weekends (similar to Xur). It’s on a table on the left of the stairs.

Praxic Blade Crystals: Change your Lightsaber’s Color

There are 12 different crystals you can obtain to change the blade colour of the Praxic Blade. These are purely cosmetic and have no impact on the blade’s function or power, but they provide additional customisation options.

You can get them by:

  • Red: Random Drop from Invasions.
  • Orange: Random Drop from Lawless Frontier: Mars.
  • Green: Praxic’s Path quest.
  • Cyan: Random Drop from High-level contracts.
  • Blue: Praxic’s Path quest.
  • Indigo: Random Drop from Lawless Frontier: Europa.
  • Magenta: Random Drop from Lawless Frontier: Venus.
  • Taken: Equilibrium dungeon.
  • Yellow: Praxic Professional Exotic Order.
  • White: Eververse.
  • Gradient: Eververse.
  • Purple: Eververse.

How to get a Professional Exotic Order?

This question gets asked a lot, so we might as well tackle it directly. Legendary and Exotic Orders have a chance to appear while completing standard Orders. The more standard Orders you complete, the higher the chances of getting Legendary/Exotic Orders.

Keep in mind that you can unlock an Order Rarity Boost at level 17 on your Battle Pass. That will help. Once you get an Exotic Order, make sure it’s the one that rewards you with the Yellow Core (not all of them do). If it doesn’t, reroll it until you get an Exotic Order that does.

Farming the Praxic Professional Exotic Order

Tackling The Whisper Mission on Expert difficulty from the Pinnacle Ops Playlist may be the easiest method. As explained by Redditor HiddnAce:

Start the mission, and keep going until you get to a big yellow room with a crack in the middle. Jump down the crack and enjoy endless waves of thralls. The only requirement is that the mission must be at least on expert difficulty. You can use any boons or utilize resto/orbs/devour to help you survive. It took about 15 mins of killing thralls

Forms

To get the Defensive form, you’ll need to complete the Praxic’s Path quest. The Offensive form is yet to be unlocked, as it is also in the Equilibrium dungeon.

Focuses

For most of the focuses, you’ll need to rank up with each faction to be able to receive the focus from that faction. There are a couple of special ones that require something else:

  • Crystal Strength I, II, and III: Totality Division reputation
  • Grip I, II, III: Piker’s reputation.
  • Forceful Blade I, II, and III: Tharsis Reformation reputation.
  • Blade Ammo: Syndicate
  • Invigorating Blade: Equilibrium Dungeon
