Destiny 2 Trustee: God Rolls & How to get it

by | May 5, 2024

The brand-new Pantheon endgame activity has been a hit within the Destiny 2 community and has opened up the path for any player to obtain several top-tier raid weapons, including Trustee. With the number of Spoils of Conquest available, players can definitely farm their most sought-after weapons.

Chapters

How good is Trustee?

Trustee is a niche weapon, but that doesn’t mean it is weak. In fact, out of all the Rapid-Fire Frame Scout Rifles, it is one of the better options, thanks to the Bray Inheritance Origin Trait. This, paired with Incandescent, allows players to generate a lot of ability energy as every tick of Scorch from Incandescent will generate 0.35% energy and any hit from the weapon itself. While this may not sound like a lot, it adds up and is brilliant on Trustee.

In PvP, its time to kill is quite lengthy at 0.93 seconds, but perks like High-Impact Reserves can make the kill more forgiving, making Trustee a decent pick in The Crucible, too.

Overall, Trustee is a solid Solar Scout Rifle. While there are better options available (as Scout Rifles are quite weak right now), Trustee itself isn’t necessarily a bad weapon.

Trustee PvE god rolls

PvE Roll: All-Around
Barrel Fluted Barrel
Magazine Flared Magwell
Perk 1 Rapid Hit
Perk 2 Incandescent
Masterwork Handling

Handling is always excellent on PvE weapons, making Fluted Barrel and a Handling Masterwork the best options for these slots. Flared Magwell also gives a bump to Reload Speed, which, when combined with Rapid Hit at maximum stacks, grants 100 Reload Speed.

Rapid Hit is the clear choice in slot one as it provides some much-needed reload speed on the weapon, and Incandescent is the best pick for slot two as the ability energy it provides with Bray Inheritance is undeniable.

Trustee PvP god rolls

PvE Roll: All-Around
Barrel Smallbore
Magazine Accurized Rounds
Perk 1 Rapid Hit (also good: Perpetual Motion)
Perk 2 High-Impact Reserves or Opening Shot
Masterwork Stability

With a setup of Smallbore, Accurised Rounds, and a Stability Masterwork, you get a healthy mix of Range and Stability. When Rapid Hit is fully stacked, you can get up to 90 Stability, making the gun very stable.

Rapid Hit is the clear winner for perk slot one, but Perpetual Motion is an acceptable alternative. For perk slot two, High-Impact Reserves and Opening Shot are the best picks as they help with general dueling and the consistency of the weapon.

How to get Trustee

Trustee is typically available from Deep Stone Crypt (the first encounter, to be precise), meaning players can either farm this opening encounter or obtain Trustee from the final cache after defeating Taniks and completing the raid. The first weekly clear will provide a deepsighted version of Trustee, advancing the pattern progress so you can craft the weapon.

Alternatively, players can partake in the new Pantheon game mode, a gauntlet of raid bosses one after the other. Upon completing the Atraks Sovereign difficulty, players can interact with the cache at the end to obtain a Trustee. Pantheon also drops a ton of Spoils of Conquest, making it ideal for anyone short on Spoils. We cover all Pantheon Rewards here.
