How to get Nation of Beasts
To get your hands on the reprised Nation of Beasts, you’ll have to dip your toes in the Last Wish Raid. While you can do a regular clear of the raid and hope for a drop, it is much smarter to wait for it to be the featured raid and join a group farming the first boss, Kalli.
Farming the first boss is a much more efficient method of obtaining Nation of Beasts than any other, as it only takes a minute or two to complete a run and load back in. While this can get tedious, this is the best way to get red-border Nation of Beasts drops. Alternatively, you can use Wish Tokens to get yourself a Nation of Beasts without entering the Last Wish raid.

How good is Nation of Beasts
Nation of Beasts is one of the top Hand Cannons in the game right now, thanks to its favorable archetype and solid perk pool. Hand Cannons often lack Area of Effect (AoE) damage. Fortunately, Nation of Beasts doesn’t have this issue thanks to perks like Voltshot and Dragonfly, two great splash-damage perks to help with general add clear.
The main issue holding this weapon back is that it is not Solar. Thanks to Ember of Empyrean, Solar weapons can be used to chain Restoration, so players currently prefer options like Sunshot or Zaouli’s Bane. However, Elements aside, Nation of Beasts remains a top-tier contender. While Sunshot outshines it, it won’t hog your Exotic Slot, making it comparable to Zaouli’s Bane and Epochal Integration.

Flared Magwell is the best Magazine trait as it gives a helpful bump to Reload Speed, and a Range masterwork can extend how safe you can play with the weapon.
Dragonfly and Voltshot are the main draw points of this weapon. Explosions from Dragonfly can help confirm kills from Voltshot, allowing you to keep the constant splash damage going.

Keep Away or Opening Shot can help with ranged dueling by allowing you to keep your distance from players with weapons like SMGs or Shotguns. Explosive Payload or Kill Clip are also excellent for 1v1 or 2v1 situations, as the flinch from Explosive Payload or the damage boost from Kill Clip allows you to chain some easy kills together.
