How good is Keraunios
A single look at the perk pool will show that Keraunios is definitely a weapon geared towards PvE rather than PvP. Compared to last year, Keraunios has definitely stepped up its game with it being a rather ‘solid but not great’ option.
A combo that immediately catches the eye is Shoot To Loot and Chain Reaction, as this is the peak utility roll you can have on a Trace Rifle, and given Traces are generally used in a supportive or utility-focused role, it makes sense to go for this combo. Alternatively, you can lean into Arc verbs with Supercharged Magazine being present, as well as options like Rolling Storm and Jolting Feedback, providing an alternative should you wish to go for a more out-there option.
In PvP, Keraunios has changed a little bit. With the presence of Rapid Hit and Target Lock, those with excellent aim will be able to laser enemies down with ease, provided you have enough Special Ammo. Keraunios is S-Tier for PvE and A-tier for PvP.

Keraunios PvE god rolls
| PvE Roll: All-Around | |
|---|---|
| Barrel | Fluted Barrel |
| Battery | Light Battery |
| Perk 1 | Shoot to Loot (also good: Supercharged Magazine) |
| Perk 2 | Chain Reaction (also good: Rolling Storm or Jolting Feedback) |
| Masterwork | Handling |
To improve the feel of Keraunios, we recommend Fluted Barrel, Light Battery, and a Handling Masterwork, boosting the Handling to 84.
In the first perk slot, Shoot to Loot is an excellent utility option as it allows the Trace Rifle user (who is typically a Cenotaph supporting Warlock) to safely secure Special and Heavy ammo from range. Alternatively, if you’d like to lean more into Arc, Supercharged Magazine is a great option. In perk slot 2, we suggest Chain Reaction as it improves the add-clearing capabilities of the weapon by adding some AoE damage, something that Trace Rifles notoriously struggle with. However, if you leaned into Arc with Supercharged Magazine, it may make sense to stick with that trend and go for Rolling Storm or Jolting Feedback instead if you want a more subclass-synergistic option.
Keraunios PvP god rolls
| PvP Roll: All-Around | |
|---|---|
| Barrel | Hammerforged Rifling |
| Battery | Projection Fuse |
| Perk 1 | Rapid Hit |
| Perk 2 | Target Lock |
| Masterwork | Range |
As our perks boost Stability, we are going all-in on Range, so Hammerforged Rifling, Projection Fuse, and a Range masterwork will be our suggestions, getting you up to a perfect 100 range or 38.85m while aiming down sights.
In the first perk slot, we recommend Rapid Hit. It is simply the most consistent of the available options and serves as our way of making the weapon more stable. For perk slot 2, we recommend Target Lock as it is a straight-up damage increase and will help you secure kills when it counts.
